May 17-21 is National Bike to Work Week, part of Bike Month sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. The Auburn Bicycle Committee and the Auburn University Offices of Transportation Services and Sustainability would like to honor your personal commitment to eco-friendly transportation on National Bike to Work Day, Friday 21 May. There will be two Energizer Stations on the AU campus where you can stop by, chat with like-minded bike commuters, and enjoy fresh coffee and donuts. You’re out there fighting in the streets for a better planet, reward yourself with a little treat and the camaraderie of your fellow cycle commuters!
The event will be held from 7:15-9:00 AM, Friday 21 May. The stations will be located on Ross Square near Samford Hall, and on South Donahue along the multi-use trail between Woodfield Drive and Lem Morrison Drive. Information from AU Transportation Services will be at both locations to provide an update on their E-Bike AU Initiative, an electric bike-share program that will be starting up this coming fall.
Bring along a mug for your coffee and a mask to protect your fellow cyclists. We look forward to seeing you!
